How to submit the perfect photo for your custom pet portrait commission.
When you submit a portrait photo for a commission, be sure to give me options.
Choose a picture with a special story and give me several choices.
Sometimes photos are too blurry or the face is too small to capture a likeness.
Here are the ideal factors in a good portrait photo:
- The face needs to be big enough so I can capture the likeness.
- The lighting is important; if it's too dark, I cannot make out details and if it's too light, I don't have enough shadows to sculpt the face.
- Choose a photo that captures not only their face but their personality so that when someone looks at the portrait you commissioned, people will say , "Wow, that's Rover's exact smile".
- It's also amazing if your photo captures a special memory or tells a story (without being too complex.)
